MLFNS-Wuhan held its annual Track-and-Field Day on the Maple Leaf Middle School campus in late May 2019. Some of the events saw the students competing against their classmates in the same grade, while other events pitted students against each other in their “FNS Houses”. It was a fun-filled day with students demonstrating their athletic abilities, teamwork skills, and communication skills.
Off to the races! Here are students from the Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 2 classes competing in the 50 m dash.
Students in Grades 5 through 9 competing in the 400 meter dash.
Jump as far as you can! Students competing in the long jump!
Heave-ho! Heave-ho! Students in their “FNS Houses” (Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin’) competing for the top house prize. The school was grouped together as K-3, 4-6, and 7-9; each grouping saw a different house take the top honour!
In the afternoon, students escaped the Wuhan heat by heading up to the Maple Leaf Middle School gym where they played four-corner capture-the-flag, badminton, student-teacher basketball, and had a chance to use the new on-site golf facilities. Amazing!
