MLFNS-Wuhan Students Engage in Online Learning!

Due to the global covid-19 epidemic, Maple Leaf Foreign Nationals’ School – Wuhan resumed its term two session in March 2020 through online platforms. Students were given official school email accounts which permitted access to Canvas, the school’s new learning management platform.

Students connect with teachers on a daily basis through online communication platforms. Here is an example of students from our Pre-K – Grade 1 class meeting with their teacher!

Students are continuing to work on literacy, numeracy and inquiry skills. Teachers provide online, interactive suggestions for learning, and conference with students to ensure understanding and achievement of the curriculum. Here is one G2 student working on her numeracy skills.

Here is an example of a G3-4 class inquiry project where students were asked to create a 3D-model of their neighbourhood.

And finally, a poem from one of our eloquent G8 students about her reflections during this epidemic.

Maple Leaf Foreign Nationals’ School – Wuhan (FNS-Wuhan) enrols international students in Pre-Kindergarten (age 4) through Grade 9. The FNS follows the British Columbia curriculum, as one of many Maple Leaf schools operating in China.
