Step right up to the FNS Carnival!
Celebrated on the last day of April before the Spring break holiday, our FNS Student Council prepared an amazing day of fun activities.
In the morning, all FNS students could play a variety of student-made mini-games, including balloon pop, coin toss, paper airplane throw, water gun ping-pong racing, duck pond fishing, and many more. Students could also stop by the face-painting or henna hand-painting stations, or even the pie-a-teacher station! Thanks to the parent volunteers who visited us to help at stations, or simply to watch their child(ren) participate!
In preparation for a special lunch, a number of Grade 8-9 students helped prepare cheese pizzas for the school. Delicious!
Throughout the week leading up to the Carnival, raffle tickets were sold as part of a fundraising effort for our Grade 7-9 end-of-year field trip to Xian. Students also earned raffle tickets through the mini-games in the morning. In the afternoon of the Carnival, raffle winners were announced at the monthly assembly – look at all of those happy winners!
Depending on how much money was raised, teachers offered to: be silly-stringed, undergo an ice bucket challenge, have their heads shaved, or even dance in front of the school. All four fundraising targets were met, and laughter ensued!
Thanks to all of the students, teachers, and parents for their support of this event!
