On August 28th, the FNS staff was fortunate enough to partner with our friends from Vitup International Hospital to participate in a professional development workshop on emergency first aid.
Student safety is paramount at Maple Leaf FNS, and our teachers learned proper procedures for accidents that can occur on the playground or in the classroom. The Vitup medical staff made this an educational and interactive experience. Our workshop culminated with a special session on CPR, where our staff experienced a mock situation where they had to respond to a cardiac emergency. Maple Leaf FNS is continuously looking to connect with the community and we are truly appreciative of the work our friends at Vitup did with our staff. We hope to continue our relationship and have future workshops.
