Daily 5 and Daily 3 Online

MLFNS students have been engaging in online learning since the beginning of March.  Fortunately, our schools embrace the pedagogy of Daily 5 literacy and Daily 3 numeracy and a foundational program that covers our elementary grades.  The Daily 5 literacy  and the Daily 3 numeracy programs have received critical acclaim from western education experts for a number of years as it creates a learning environment that is engaging, teacher and student driven, and improves personal learning stamina.  The

This is a daily learning task for our students that helps them improve their fundamental skill sets with literacy and numeracy.  Because of our students familiarity with the program, it has been an easy transition for them to continue to develop these critical skills online.  The following is a contribution by our downtown campus K/1 teacher Ms. Wu.  Her students have been amazing at continuing their language and mathematical development.
