China Merchant Bank Leaders visit Maple Leaf

On April 26, 2019, Shen Bin, Vice President of China Merchants Bank Tianjin Branch, Tan Kui, Head of Retail Finance Headquarters Strategic Alliance, Du Ling, Commercial Director of Retail Finance Strategic Alliance, and other representatives of China Merchants Bank Headquarters visited Maple Leaf Education Headquarters in Dalian. They were hosted by Dr. Sherman Jen, MLES Founder and Chairman, Zhang Jingxia, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and Vice Presidents Cao Xiaofeng, Bao Fang and Ren Hongge. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on future cooperation.

Like the China Merchants Bank, Maple Leaf has a long history and has become a leader in the industry after decades of development. In his welcoming speech Dr. Jen expressed the hope that future cooperation will benefit Maple Leaf employees, students and parents and achieve mutual benefits for both parties.

The representative for CMB gave a detailed introduction to the specific business of the cooperation project, and conducted in-depth discussions with Maple Leaf Leaders. Both parties expressed confidence in the future cooperation prospects. After the meeting, representatives of the China Merchants Bank toured the school history museum to develop a deeper understanding of the development of Maple Leaf. They expressed their admiration for Maple Leaf’s excellent educational services and educational achievements in the past 24 years.

Founded in 1987, China Merchants Bank is the first joint-stock commercial bank in China to be wholly owned by a corporate entity. Since its establishment more than 30 years ago, China Merchants Bank has grown rapidly from a small bank with a capital of 100 million, 1 outlet and more than 30 employees to China’s largest joint-stock commercial bank with a total asset size of 6.7 trillion yuan and a net profit of 80.82 billion yuan. At the end of 2018, the market value of China Merchants Bank exceeded 740 billion yuan, ranking 11th among listed banks worldwide.
