MLES Global Top 100 Universities Guide 2020

The MLES Global Top 100 Universities Guide 2020 is officially released! Our methodology has also been modified for the first time since its initial launch in 2016.

Based on the particular need of Maple Leaf students, the MLES Research Institute developed and published the MLES Global Top 100 Universities Guide in 2016, which is updated every year.

With the official launch of the Maple Leaf World School Program, the methodology of the MLES Global Top 100 Universities Guide also needs to be optimized in time to highlight the “more opportunities, more choices” that the Maple Leaf World School Program brings to our  students.

The most important revision in our methodology is to use the average ranking of the three most influential world rankings, namely QS World University Rankings, Times Higher Education World University Rankings and US News World University Rankings, instead of selecting a single ranking by country as we did previously.

By taking the average value of the rankings to balance the differences in the compilation methods of different rankings, we obtain a relatively more widely recognized ranking and avoid any strong bias for a particular university in a certain ranking.

“4+10”: U.S., U.K., Australia, Canada+10 additional countries as “more choices”

Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Netherlands, and Ireland in Europe, and Malaysia, Singapore, New Zealand, and China (including Hong Kong) in Asia Pacific
